Dana V. Reel
Dana V. Reel, CE’73, graduated from the University of Missouri-Rolla (now Missouri University of Science and Technology) in 1973 with a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering and joined Black & Veatch in Kansas City as a design engineer.
Over the next four decades, he held a number of positions in the company, serving as resident project representative in Casper, Wyoming; project engineer and engineering manager in Denver, Colorado; and in roles of increasing responsibility in Las Vegas, retiring in 2014 as senior vice president and managing director of global engineering design.
Throughout his career, Mr. Reel has also given back to Missouri S&T, both through his service as a member of the Academy of Civil Engineers and his generous support of the Miner Alumni Association, the civil engineering program and other university endeavors.
Now, through the Dana V. and Nancy A. Reel Scholarship for Women in Engineering, Dana Reel and his wife Nancy have stepped forward to provide student support for generations to come.
