Academy for Electrical and Computer Engineering
Since its founding in 1980, the Missouri S&T Academy for Electrical and Computer Engineering (AECE) has united outstanding alumni in the field, as well as other industry leaders, who share a commitment to advancing the department and study of electrical and computer engineering.
Over more than three decades, the academy has made a difference in countless ways: serving as an advisory group to the department’s chair and faculty, providing leadership and professional expertise on curriculum and experiential learning opportunities, mentoring students, and financially supporting many initiatives, from scholarships and technology enhancements to facility and lab upgrades.
In fulfilling its mission as a strategic partner to the department, the academy has also raised national and international awareness of Missouri S&T’s electrical and computer engineering program, fostered a growing number of industry partnerships, and promoted the advancement of research and technology transfer.
Now, the members of the academy have chosen to deepen their legacy by stepping forward yet again, leveraging state matching funds to establish two scholarship endowments. In keeping with their wishes, the ACADEMY FOR ELECTRICAL AND COMPUTER ENGINEERING STATE-MATCHED ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP (1 of 2) will provide a permanent source of funding for undergraduate students seeking to pursue the study of electrical and computer engineering at Missouri S&T.
