Miner Music Section Scholarship

Congratulations on being admitted to Missouri University of Science and Technology!

The Miner Music Alumni Chapter and active Alumni Admissions Ambassadors across the United States support the Miner Music Section Scholarship every year. The Miner Music Section Scholarship is only awarded to U.S. citizens who do not reside in the state of Missouri. All applicants must be first-time entering freshman or transfer students for the upcoming fall semester to be eligible. Applicants must be interested in participating in band, choir or orchestra at Missouri S&T.

First-time freshman students must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above and a 24 ACT or 1160 SAT (critical reading and math combined) composite score. First-time transfer students must have a 3.0 cumulative GPA from their transferring institution.

The Miner Music Section Scholarship is awarded to one student annually at $1,000 per academic year, which is distributed at a rate of $500 per semester. The scholarship can be renewed for a total of eight semesters for entering freshman and four semesters for entering transfer students as long as the student remains an S&T full-time student with a 2.75 GPA or higher.

All scholarship recipients will be notified by June.
