Miner Section Scholarship
Congratulations on being admitted to Missouri University of Science and Technology!
Miner Alumni Chapters and active Alumni Admissions Ambassadors across the United States support the Miner Section Scholarship every year. The Miner Section Scholarship is only awarded to U.S. citizens who do not reside in the state of Missouri. All applicants must be first-time entering freshman or transfer students for the upcoming fall semester to be eligible.
First-time freshman students must a have a 3.0 cumulative GPA from high school and 24 ACT or 1160 SAT (critical reading and math combined) composite score. First-time transfer students must have a 3.0 cumulative GPA from their transferring institution.
The Miner Section Scholarship is awarded to one student from each participating Miner Section region annually at $1,000 per academic year, which is distributed at a rate of $500 per semester. The scholarship can be renewed for a total of eight semesters for entering freshman and four semesters for entering transfer students as long as the student remains an S&T full-time student with a 2.75 GPA or higher.
All scholarship recipients will be notified by June.
Please note: Children or grandchildren of a MSM/UMR/S&T graduate should instead apply for the Alumni Sons/Daughters and Grandchildren Scholarship. Students cannot receive both the Alumni Sons/Daughters and Grandchildren Scholarship and the Miner Section Scholarship.
